David Mensah Album Review!!!
David Mensah dropped his album last year and I’ve been meaning to share his music with the 10,000+ readers that faithfully visit TrueClefMusic every month. This is an informal album review of David’s new project ” “Music Is The Food of Love”
The whole mood of the album is uncluttered, no genre mixing, just homecooked r&b! This is SO remarkably rare in todays music. Everyone wants to cross over, everyone wants to be a product in store appealing to everyone but a few artist have stayed faithful and committed to R&B and are more concern with making honest music then chart and numbers, David is one of those artist.
On some of the tracks he reminds me of Maxwell (minus the falsetto). The voice control and pronounciation are to his credit, as are the lyrics. The theme of this project is very layed back, chill and listenable, something else that’s not easy to find in a industry where EVERYONE is trying to make you dance..
This is a great debut effort and TrueClefMusic as well as the fans look forward to more music from one of the UK’s finest.
