Mariah Carey “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” Re-Release Coming February 2010!!!
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This album is finally gonna have a real chance. Mariah neglected the project for months in favor of “Precious” promo, which payed off… She’s received all types or acclaim from the critics and is going to be receiving a “Breakthrough Performance Award” for her portrayal of a inner city social worker!
The album, however, debuted with a mere 200,000 copies sold it’s first week, the singles have gone nowhere (with the exception of “Obsessed”) and the album currently sits at #95 on The Billboard 200 Albums Chart… DISGRACEFUL!!!!
Mariah will re-release the album this coming February with all the content left off the original version, which as is, is one of the best albums of the year overall… Production and song writing credits from Jermaine Dupre, Timbaland, Trick Stewart and The Dream will all be added along with some remixes of songs present on the original release. A new “Inseperable” will feature Trey Songz. That song probably won’t be a single given the popularity of “Yesterday”, Toni’ Braxton’s lead single from her new album which also features Trey. The dark “Betcha Gon Know” gets a “Part II” which will feature R&B’s king, R Kelly!!! I’m really excited to hear the new album and even more excited about this project getting all the praise and recognition it deserves!
With the right push this album could sell just as many copies as 2005′s “The Emancipation of Mimi” and push her hit count past The Beatles current 20! Cross your fingers!!!

This album could see as many copies as what? That’s NOT gonna happen. This album won’t see the sales of Emancipation, hell E=MC2 was more listenable than this current album.
But I am sooooo interested in the re-release, I want to hear R. Kelly on Betcha Gon Know and I would have loved a singer on H.A.T.E.U. with her instead of Gucci and OJ.
I’m also interested in Angels Cry & Languishing remixes….

Lol, a mess!!! All Mariah’s are listenable but to me “E=MC2″ is by far her weakest project via Def Jam. I love “Love Story”, “Migrate” “Cruise Control” “I Stay In Love” and “Last Kiss”. That album could have done SOOOOOO much better if she had just released the correct singles and made fitting videos for them…. I think that by far “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” is a better album though…

I’m really looking forward to hearing her with R Kelly too. I think it’s gonna have a “Trapped In The Closet” vibe to it! He’s a genius. I’m glad they finally decided to do something together!
