Yes!!!! Jennifer Hudson lands another role that has Oscar written all over it. The relatively new actress will portray Winnie Mandela, former wife of South African President, Nelson Mandela! The film will begin shooting on location in South Africa this summer!

Jennifer had the following to say of the role:

“I was compelled and moved when I read the script,” Hudson said. “Winnie Mandela is a complex and extraordinary woman and I’m honored to be the actress asked to portray her. This is a powerful part of history that should be told.”

Jennifer is also rumored to be apart of the “Sex & The City” sequel which should be in theaters by late 2010!
