TrueClefMusic’s Lady Gaga Epiphany…
Lady Gaga is one of the most unique, artistic and talented new artist of the year. She’s sold 1.2 million copies of her debut album (more then any other new artist this year) and has scored 2 Billboard Hot 100 #1 (all four singles were top 10 hits) but one question has escaped the minds of fans and the media alike: Would she slay so hard if Fergie wasn’t working with the peas right now, if Gwen Stefani wasn’t touring with no doubt and if Britney wasn’t headlining one of the most profitable stage shows of the year??? This question escaped me too for a minute but now that I see it I have an answer…NO MAM!
A little over a year ago Fergie and Gwen were head to head in Britney’s absence, vying for the crown she was too busy eating, punching out kids, getting divorced and shaving her head to sport… Fergie ultimately was the victor but layed it down to be the first lady of Black Eyes Peas again. “The E.N.D” is one of the best albums of the year but unfortunately it ties her down for at least another 6 to 8 months. I’m sure she’ll record but we won’t hear any new music from Fergie the solo artist until mid to late 2010… Too a long a hiatus for me..
Gwen was able to co-exist with Kelly Clarkson and Mariah Carey in 2005, even in the mist of the emancipation but Fergie’s Will.I.AM enthused genre bending pop proved too much for the holla back girl. Her album did well but she was clearly number 2…
Those two wouldn’t have had it so easy if Britney was around! Fast forward to December 4th 2008! Britney drops “Circus”, shifts 505+ thousand copies her first week and debuts at #1. Her first single “Womanizer” tops several of Billboard’s list, including the Hot 100 and Britney begins to sell out huge arenas around the world, proving her milkshake still brings all the boys and everyone else to the yard…
If these three women were heavy in the press promoting albums and dropping singles right now, Lady Gaga would be that chick with the nose and the weird outfits that doesn’t sound like anyone else, not the pop phenomenon she presently is… I think she would have a really hard tim co-existing with these other much more attractive, much more conforming females
She picked the right time to do her thing, a year earlier would have been rocky and a year later would have been even harder but now that she’s established a strong fan base she should be just fine… Timing is everything in this game..

Gwen clearly slayed fergie. whatcha waiting for,holla back girl,rich girls,four in the morning,sweet esacpe,cool,Luxurious,crash,wind it up,yummy.lol i mean come on. fergie cd was cute but gets annoying.

The album your referring to was way back in 05, the album that got her through Mariah Season, it was a great album, album of the year nominated but in 2007 the duchess came and conquered, Gwen’s album that year was all but forgotten sir!

Um sir you have to remember that Fergie came out after Gwen had stopped promoting her CD. She was finishing up touring and Fergie punched the door wide open and did her thing. So Fergie did not slay Gwen…you tried that lol.

OMG LMAOOO! Yes she did!!! Fergie hit the scene in 2007 and Gwen was coming her her tour but immediately dropped another album. The one with the headshot and the blonde bob on the cover. Fergie had her hill all in that ass!

Yea the dumbass outfits are just dumbass outfits at this point lmao! Her music is good but if Fergie and Will.I.AM wer doin it along with Gwen promoting a project she’d have a problem!
