Beyonce & Britney Spears: Who Came Harder This Year???
Awwww yes! Two of my favorites are simple counterparts of one another. Both debuted at # 1, both shifted 505k the first week and both had lead singles top the charts. Britney Spears and Beyonce dropped albums roughly a year and much has happened with there music and careers since. Beyonce crossed over and Britney dropped the baby fat and came back to slay the girls.
The purpose of this article is to define who came harder in 2009 at this point, Beyonce or Britney??
Britney came out swinging with her last album “Circus” scoring a #1 single and embarking on one of the biggest and most successful world tours of her career.
She’s been busy on the road and hasn’t been in the spot light half as much as Queen B but her tour grossed two to three times more coins then Beyonce’s “I Am” show…
Beyonce been pretty busy herself. She’s been everywhere, touring, promoting and making videos for an astounding 7 singles including her groundbreaking hit “Single Ladies” and crossover adult contemporary hit “Halo”… “I Am Sasha Fierce” has sold 4.2 million copies worldwide and counting!
Beyonce’s definately more popular but inside a year’s time Britney has scored more #1′s (3 and Womanizer) and at the same time hosted a larger more profitable show.
Beyonce’s singles charted higher overall but she only topped the chart once, de-throning T.I’s monster radio hits “Live Your Life” ft Rihanna and “Whatever You Like”.
So whose really the baddest b****, the one who bagged more coins or the one that’s more popular???
Before you answer that I’d like to remind you that Britney is the first artist in 3 years to have a single debut at Billboard’s pinnacle..
The competition will reach a climax this holiday season!!!
On November 23rd Britney will release her much anticipated singles collection, of which “3″ is the lead track. That same day Beyonce will drop “I Am Sasha Fierce” Deluxe Editon with her tour dvd and a live album… PLUS the 23rd will also see a Lady Gaga re-release and a brand new album from Rihanna entitled “Rated R”
I have no doubt that the 20/20 interview is gonna propel Rihanna to the #1 spot but Beyonce and Lady Gaga have remixed and shot a video together for Beyonce’s “Video Phone” and Britney Spears is riding the Billboard Hot 100′s upper hierachy with “3″! It’s gonna be a toss up!

A friend and I were having a discussion a little earlier today about this and I honestly believe Beyonce came harder this year, she impressed me a lot with her songs, her videos, her ultimate stage presence. BIG UP to Beyonce

I love Beyonce but towards the end of the year I and most fans got sick of her… I love the sasha disc but none of the songs accept “Halo” “Singles Ladies” and “If I Were A Boy” charted well… Britney’s “If You Seek Amy” didn’t do too much either but it was always yay Britney’s performing and with Beyonce it was like UGH here she is again lol

Britney’s Tour completely SLAYED Beyonce’s and she didn’t have to make 3,000 tickets at each venue $20.00 to do it… No shade lmao!

I can’t pick one over the other so I’ll say it’s a tie and for anyone that knows me…knows that is killing me lol. Brittany made more money touring(how you do this and don’t sing live I still will not grasp), but Beyonce sold more albums. Beyonce became more artistic this time around and Brit sucked up the fact people felt sorry for her and were happy that she was back. Right now though I’m getting sick and tired of these re releases and singles collections these girls are doing now. I mean Brit just did this what like 3 years ago…so now she’s adding 4 new songs to the collection…if anybody goes and buys that they are a fool cause you can create your own Brit singles Collection CD lol. Beyonce love her to death but this the third re release of your album…just make a new album. Lady Ga Ga…what you got 100 new outfits you haven’t shown yet so your doing a re release(rolling eyes). Rihanna will probably debut at number 1 but from what i’ve heard so far she will not get my coins…and that cuttin up ass 20/20 interview…girl let the shit go.

First off I think Rihanna is the only over the whole chris brown beat my ass situation… She waited until the perfect time to talk about it and for that reason she is absolutely gonna debut at #1…
Britney’s cutt’n up for the singles collection but “3″ as the first song to debut at # in three years… I hope the other 3 new songs slay just as hard!
Beyonce needs to sit that ass down somewhere, 7 singles and 3 re-release ri-goddamn-diculous!!! She needs to give us the DVD album and have s seat…
Lady Gaga had one of the top albums of the year, it makes sense to re-release her album. I’m not mad at her at all. I am mad that her tour may not be coming to Houston and will now feature Kid Cudi instead of Kanye West…

i fink britney has came stronger this year wif 2 number 1 singles and beyonce has had a good album but circus is better and beyonce is 2 blown up shes not as good as everyone makes her out 2 be andbritney will always be the best
