One of the greatest most expressive artist of all time is getting ready to make his return, covering the June issue of Vibe Magazine. Eminem is one his way back to the top of the game and the charts. Oh oh Wheezy…
I’ve always cut for Eminem. If you’ve bought an album of his you know that few artist are as honest an open about themselves. I can’t wait for this new album and the shift in power and dominance in the game it will likely trigger…

This is one of my favorite Christina Aguilera records. It’s from stripped, her best album to date. I miss Xtina to tell you the truth. The raw, honest, no bullsh** artist that revealed herself in 03 04. The song was produced by Alicia Keys and remains a jewel in Christina’s catalog…
This live performance is this week’s “video of the week” update> Enjoy!

Queen B was photographed out and about in beautiful Vienna shopping with mama Knowles looking VERY Carrie Bradshaw I must say. Beyonce will be coming to a city near you soon. Get those coins together and get the tickets before there gone!

Rick Ross easily debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with “Deeper Than Rap” (Slip-N-Slide/Def Jam), shifting 158,000 in its first week. It’s the third topper for the artist. His last set, 2008′s “Trilla,” bowed at No. 1 with 198,000 while 2006′s “Port of Miami” also did the same, but with 187,000.
Ross bumps the “Hannah Montana: the Movie” soundtrack (Walt Disney) out of the top slot, as the Miley Cyrus-enhanced set slips to No. 2 with 104,000 (down 22%).

Mariah Carey is leaving her New York bachelorette triplex mega penthouse. She’s been married for over a year now and she wants something more home and family oriented. She’s also going to be shifting her focus from music to film after she’s finished promoting and touring for her next album which will likely be her last studio effort for a while. “MC3″ will be the project that pushes the diva past The Beatles hit count and solidifies her as the most successful recording artist to ever play the game.
She has two films coming out this year, one via Tyler Perry and Oprah’s joint production company. Mariah Carey will have a dazzling film career before 09 shuts it’s eyes.
New career calls for a change of location which is why the diva has reportedly purchases this nearly 12,000 square foot mega home in Bel Air California.

Here are the stats:
UYER: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
LOCATION: Bel Air, CA
PRICE: around $7,000,000 (allegedly)
SIZE: 11,750 square feet (approx.),
5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms
DESCRIPTION: Magnificent gated private view estate on 3 acres. Incredible site. Prime Bel Air address. Staggering 360 degree views of entire city.

Diddy may be rolling out his own version of Tyra Bank’s popular reality series. He’s looking for the new face of Sean John. Considering that no one this man hires or signs ever gets too far before he himself pulls the plug I can’t get too enthused about it.
This weeks question was:
When did you first fall in love with music?
I remember it like it was yesterday! I was probably about five years old. I locked myself in my room with a Luther Vandross record and a Whitney Houston records. It was my goal to try and match the tone of Luther’s “A House Is Not a Home” and Whitney’s “Greatest Love of All”
That particular day, I finally mastered both songs and realized the reason I’d worked so hard was because I loved the way the music and the vocal approach made me feel. I’ve been stuck in love ever since. You can actually hear some of that early self-training in my music today. Click on my picture to check it out.
Falling in love with music has never been a moment in my life. Expressing me artistically is something that is imprinted in me from before I even entered this realm we call earth. It swims through my veins and it is a part of me just at I am breathing. I can say there came a point where I realised that if I needed to be successful that I needed to believe in myself and my ability to connect with words and song to people and my family, friends and fans have had an enormous influence in this and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart… xxx

| wow it is almost impossible to pin point a single moment when I fell in love with music, perhaps it was always in my blood. I do remember lots of moments that stick out though. My parents would have lots of parties, my cousins and I would be sent up stairs to bed really early. In those days it was all about the bass line, I remember hearing those bass-lines coming up through the floor from the lovers rock and soul tunes they were spinning. Those bass lines where everywhere in those days, cars would shake the whole street with their sub woofers, shops pumped out choons when I went shopping with my mum and people even used to walk the street with ghetto blasters on their shoulder playing break beats. It felt like music was everywhere and such a big part of life. I think the fact that I can still remember choons from those days that I haven’t heard since goes to show that they became a part of me there and then. “Pass the duchie on the left hand side” lol
“I fell in love with music from the day I was born. I’ve always been a musical child. When I was younger my cousins and I used to have little make-shift concerts at my aunt’s house while cleaning up EVERYDAY! It was great for bonding and I’ve always identified with music. I have a musical family so I’ve been in the presence of it for so long it’s definitely second nature. I feel like I wouldn’t be complete if music was subtracted from my life. I got into this business for just that…the love for music. All of the business negotiations and legal jargin I could do without, BUT it’s definitely imperative to know your business. Music is apart of me…the financial gain is just an added bonus.”

| I think it is my destiny that I fell in love with music. Cause the first time my parents crossed paths, was in the Star Club / Reeperbahn at the end of the 60′s. At this wild time the Beatles,Jimi Hendrix and all the others were growin and playin in hamburg. I remember, I was a little child, when I started to listen to music and I am glad that my father was a musician too. He played the hammond-organ in his band. He was always listening to James Brown, Eric Clapton and other motown-artists.I believe that this is the reason that I am characterized by this music. I was 10 when I began to play my first instrument, the bassguitar. To this day I always call it “my heart instrument”. Because when I am playin’ my bass, I have this special feeling, which I can not describe in words. My luv to music was a growing process and today I can say that music is my life!! |

Mr West had the following to say of the Rick Ross/50 Cent beef that’s been in the press lately.
“RICK’S ALBUM IS THE SHIT!!! HE MADE AN ALBUM I CAN PLAY IN MY APARTMENT WHICH IS THE HIGHEST HONOR I CAN GIVE ANY PIECE OF MUSIC. TV ON THE RADIO, FEIST, PINK FLOYD AND THE NEW RICK ROSS ALBUM!”
I don’t have that album so I can’t say but Mr West is a pretty good judge. 50 Cent isn’t really an artist anymore in my opinion. The man could have been one of the greatest but once he became successful he quickly lost his way… Now he just makes clubs tracks, hollow lyrics behind some of the greatest productions ever made. It’s hard to get looked over when Dr Dre is making music for you… It’s a slightly higher grade of bumble gum hiphop at this point…

Her look has been extra fashion forward the past few months…. Hmmmm. Perhaps she’s given up on Beyonce’s thrown and is instead opting for Rihanna’s “It Girl” title. Either way I live for those boots!

Rihanna is seeking the return of $1.4 million in jewelry she was wearing the night she was allegedly beaten by Chris Brown.
Donald Etra, an attorney for the “Umbrella” singer, filed a motion Tuesday asking that Los Angeles police and prosecutors return a pair of earrings and three rings, which were seized as evidence.
The motion states that Brown’s attorney, and a Los Angeles Police Department detective overseeing the case, do not object to the return of the items. They have agreed that photographs can be used if the case goes to trial, the documents state.
The filing includes a general description of the items, saying they all are made of “yellow metal” and all but one includes “white stones.” The value of the items is at least $1.4 million, the motion states. It argues that photographs of the items will satisfy the needs of attorneys and asks the court “to order the return of the property to (Rihanna) without further delay.”
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said the agency would not comment on the motion.
The jewelry was part of the ensemble that Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was wearing when Brown allegedly beat her while driving home from a pre-Grammy party. Brown is accused of hitting, biting and choking his girlfriend as the couple drove through the upscale Hancock Park neighborhood.
The filing indicates the jewelry was loaned to the singer by four companies, which want the items back. The items are wanted for events overseas, the filing states.

The former gangsta rap diva has really changed her look huh. She’ seen here all smiles for the paparazzi. She always looks so effortlessly fly. Very good Eve!

This is a great song but he’s got much better on this album, one of the best albums of 2008. Jamie’s still got Digital Girl, Slow and Number One as obvious choices. This Ray Charles inspired joint will get spins though. He just needs to come hard with single 4.

Lmaoooo a good friend of mine in Miami sent me this Friday morning. I damn near fell out my damn seat!!!

Kanye’s album didn’t do as well as he thought but he has been charting pretty well with these singles… His new single is called “Amazing” and features fellow rapper Yung Jezzy.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this new short film from Mr West!

We all know that Beyonce can out sing 99.9 % of these other chicks so why question her ability now? Someone pointed out that this was really old. The controversy is coming from it being recently featured on the Howard Stern Radio Show… The performance was from way back when she was promoting “If I Were A Boy”, probably in December or Novembeer 08.
Beyonce is only less vocally in comparison to Jennifer Hudson and Mariah Carey and only M really poses a threat to her almost complete dominance of the urban end of the game, Britney having the other on lock…
Below peep the live performance from the show, she did “Halo”:

So Howard Stern got his hands on some unedited live vocals from the Today Show belonging to Queen B… They’re kinda a mess…
We’ve always heard her sing live so I don’t really see what the issue is. We know B can go…

Hiphop Icon Snoop Dogg has been immortalized… in wax of course at the worl famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in the Venetian Resort Casino in Las Vegas.

This is a picture from the two’s vacation in Barbados. It’s been a year and she hasn’t put him out on his a** yet so he must be doing something right
I hate hate hate hate this dude but if he makes her happy I have to respect the relationship. I love Mariah Carey so I’ll let his a** make it…

He premiered the signature gold bottle with the Ace of Spades logo in his video to his single “Show Me What You Got” in 2006.
Jay-Z endorsed Cristal until 2006 when the managing director fo Louis Roere Cristal, Frederic Rouzaud, was quoted in The Economist calling the constant name dropping of the Cristal brand in hip-hop songs “unwelcome attention.” Finding the remark racist, Jay-Z sparked a Cristal boycott and switched his allegiance to the new brand Armand de Brignac, part of Cattier Champagne.
The brand, which has immediately become one of the new symbols of the finer things and life and it shows up where ever celebrities are found, has a demand so high that the winery could sell their 60,000-bottle production run several times over. The brand will reach its maximum production of 82,000 within three years. The Armand de Brignac Cuvees are priced from $300 per bottle and come in three varieties, Champagne Rose, Champagne Blanc de Blanc, and the Brut Gold.
